Alright. I wanted to breed a shiny koffing because I like the blue and purple, I was breeding for iv's without any foreign parents. After about 47 eggs a shiny koffing hatched with 5 perfect iv's. Also caught a shiny Nidoran male in the safari zone playing fire red on the first ball.
I spent about a month breeding for a shiny froakie. I was up till 4 am one night when I finally got it. Lost my shit.

I did the same with Chespin, back when gen VI was new. I quickly learned that trying to breed hidden ability shinies with matching balltism is hell when the gender ratio favors males. I finally hatched one on my half birthday, that was nice.Now I'm considering breeding a shiny sheer force Feraligatr. I didn't learn my lesson apparently.
today I finished the nat dex on or so I got the shiny charm. tried it with hordes in victory road, got a shiny iron in 2 hours. nice but it didn't feel that exceptional. had a lot of shinies since ruby. in or i also hatched a shiny croagunk randomly, turned out naughty with good ivs, maybe i'll train it someday

Very first shiny I ever found was a Meowth. Why didn't they make it something more noticeable, it's just a darker shade of cream.
Later in the same playthrough I found a shiny Ekans which I really liked the look of.
