For the elephant, is it not in the Pokemon style? How? I tried making it Gen 1 styled.

Also Pac-Man being just a stylized Pac-Man is the point, is a homage. I thought the idea was clever; it's ghost type, referencing how Pac-Man eats the ghosts but can also get killed by them. (Ghost is super effective to itself)

These are old.

I submitted Dragoyle for PokeAus and it was accepted but the design was changed so much I still claim it as my own. People got up in arms over it not being Rock-type. I just want it to be Normal-type because it feels like it should be Normal type.

The idea of it was it pretends to be a statue, sitting still so it can people-watch. Statues are traditionally erected of this Pokemon and placed at important entrances to remind visitors that they were being monitored.

No backstory for the other two dudes.

First one is lacking. Give it actual claws instead of stumps that can't pick up anything, and make it 's actual body more recognizable. A good way to measure the effectiveness of a design is to silhouette it (hence Who's That Pokemon), and silhouetted I'd think it was a Kirby enemy before I considered it being a pokemon. The second one, on the other hand, is very solid, save maybe the lack of anything interesting going down on his feet.

Probably a retard based on grammar, but I pretty much agree with everything he said, save the first two "lame"s (to the seaweed bulb/garden eel and the one-eyed thing I just don't have enough info about to judge). A lot of those deigns were uninspired, over-elaborated, or too contrived from the base concept for said concept to be reasonably deduced, even after hearing an explanation from the artist.. Good art and conceptual work, but both could also be a lot better all around. That being said, to offer a bit of advice to everyone ITT, having multiple distinct design inspirations instead of "pokemon-affying" concepts, or maybe just writing up an ecology for a pokemon in your head (beyond copy-pasting the base concept's stereotypical behavior) before you draw it, works wonders

Good effort, shit results. Try again.

Their main role is to control the colours of the whole universe. And I'm planning to have a third legendary that is based off a artist and controls both of these legendaries.

The later could actually work extremely well, if you had Polyrism be based on light in general and have incredibly high speed but be remarkably fragile for a legend, whereas Monodow could be based off of literal darkness and perfect black bodies (https://docs.kde.org/trunk5/en/kdeedu/kstars/ai-blackbody.html) and be all about absorbing attacks as effectively as possible (tying into the perfect blackbody theme) and pure bulk, making the legends checks for each-other. This could lead to a scenario where Ployrism's goal is to flood the world in light whereas Monodow's is to drown it in darkness, both of which would render the world blind, making the legends globally relevant. And if I could be allowed to sperg out a little more, the villainous team could be a technological conglomerate which puts up a good front and offers for a portion of society to take refuge in deep underground bunkers (for the "light" game) or Upper-atmospheric space-stations (for the "dark" version), but secretly plots to use the emergence of either legend to enforce population control (maybe for environmentalist reasons in one game, but for Eugenics-related reasons in the other? I wanted to Monodow to be a direct contrast to Ployrism, to give the contrast between the colours and grayscale. This is also why I made the contrast to be the main theme of the legendaries. Hence why Ployrism is sharp and polygonal compared to Monodow's.

But since that you mentioned about light and black bodies. Would spheres incorporated into the design will make them more related (Similar to DP Legends)?

Since that there wasn't any other type that can actually represent the light wavelength, so I thought that Psychic typing would make sense since that Light is Electromagnetic spectrum and Dark is universal physics. But since that it's electric related, I could make them both Electric/Fairy and Electric/Dark.

You know what? I really like these ideas and actually works pretty well as ideas for these legends. And actually does serve a better idea for Monodow, for me to work on it's new design.

Well let's see,
I think what I meant by their not looking similar enough was just that. I think it should have a more angular look than it does, . Although I get you might've gone for the for rounded lines as a form of contrast with Ployrism, the problem is that most pokemon have that rounded look by default, so it just ends up standing out less. One obvious way to add angularity would be to stick carapace or armor-like pieces that were the same color as the skin, to keep and maybe even emphasis the monotonous fluidity. I think another cool way to integrate it, though, might be to integrate elements of angular mineral like bismuth while largely recreating the same design, which would likely yield a more unique look than the armor method, especially given that it already gives off a strange vibe despite it's relative lack of detail.

This doesn't necessarily mean to add huge horns or anything (which would likely make it worse, if done for no reason but to occupy space), but just some quirk that'll make it look more unique while still having resemble Ployrism to some extent; it could use some more bold design choices to make it clear that it's legendary. I also think the "flames" could be better incorporated than just sticking onto the back (even something simple like the flames poring out of indents instead of being "on" the back could make a world of difference)
And I'd steer clear of gems/spheres/etc; I think they'd largely just muck up what you have going for you. I think just making sure they resemble each other in some basic but obvious ways (like Dialga and Palkia's faces, Groudon and Kyogre's eyes, Reisheram and Zekrom's tailshapes) should be more than enough, unless you deside you want to got the extra mile for whatever reason.

Oh and as far as the plot-related stuff goes, that just wandered off the trail of advice and into random aimless textwall territory, so you don't need to pay any any mind. I also want to note that I somehow missed the bit about the third legend being an artist until after I had I posted said aimless textwall, so I didn't mean to suggest it was a bad idea by suggesting another legend in spite of it.
