Hey /vp/ I'm working on my dex completion and I am in desperate need of a Hoopa. I missed the mcdonalds event but I read that Hoopa could be obtained from home by changing your wireless network name. Does anyone know if this is still working? I can't find it on the GTS because I've never seen one and cant search it's name.

At the end of the name list there's an option to write in a name and you can look up any Pokémon on the GTS like that. The problem is that event mons are usually not tradeable on the GTS.
I can give you mine though, I'm not very interested in legendaries.

Well, I found Hoopa on the GTS, but theyre all looking for Genesect, Meloetta or Diancie and none of them can be traded via GTS anyway...

Yeah, that's how sucky the GTS is. Why even allow mythicals to be requested if they aren't tradeable anyway?
Don't worry OP, one would presume they'll run all these event-mons again after SM come out, it's just a matter of time and keeping an eye on your email if you've signed up for their promotional stuff.
