I'm trying to implement Family Trees into my project with this tutorial:

I'm getting errors and when I try to access the Family Tree menu the game crashes.

Try upgrading to 16.2, because "hasEgg?" has been given an alias found in the latest version.
That may or may not fix the rest of your problems, but that was the most glaring.
