Kalos league draws near. Which pokemon do you wish to see in Ash's party?
Gliscor is the cutiest
Charizard, Heracross, and Quilava have good chances in my book, it'd be cool if Quilava evolved into Typhlosion. I doubt we'll see Sceptile this league. He might bring in a Tauros, though. Tauros #14 is the best one.

Almost positively sure it's going to be Charizard. Gliscor would be surprising, but not that far'fetched either. Infernape would be another pick that miiiight get the spot.Although it'd be nice if he were to give a chance to a freshly caught Sun/Moon poke, but kek, that's unlikely as fuck.

The fact that frog got a mega shows that they didn't want to overshadow his Kalos team with older mons. Also the fact that his rivals are using charizard and sceptile, respectively. They don't want either to hog the spotlight.

Why is there so many unevolved Pokemon?
The only ones that got a legit reason were Bulbasaur and Squirtle iirc. I also get that Totodile, Oshawatt were supposed to be comic relief and Scraggy were supposed to be a 'baby' but come on Ash, evolve the rest already.

He never tried "catching them all". The whole "catch'em all" thing is a Western thing, while originally it's more closer to "get Pokemon".
I've heard rumors we might not even see any old Pokemon, which would be complete bullshit. Give me Bulbasaur, Snorlax, and Swellow at the very least.
Basically confirmed we won't see either Charizard or Sceptile though, considering those two have other reps.

They actually showed Ash's old Pokemon the episode right before XY began and they've been having Ash run with his Kalos team which has been a pretty strong team. More so than his DP team.

Because at the end of the day the Pokemon are characters too and BW (and to a certain extent, the original series) showed that giving Ash a large team that he rotates just doesn't work because it means that some Pokemon don't get any focus or development.

The scans for the league episodes do kind of imply he's only using his Kalos team and then will call upon a mystery 6th Pokemon once the 6v6 matches start.
Don't we already know every opponent who Ash fights and exactly how far he gets in the league? Why wouldn't we also know who his 6th member would be?
