Emulate then, pham. You don't need that many resources to run a successful DS emu, and if you know how to implement stuff correctly, you can transfer your Pokemon to a BW game, then to a 6th gen.
Also reasonably priced Platinum copies are hard to come by these days since they went out of print

Damn now that you mention it, I've only been able to transfer my emulator Pokemon because I have an R4 Wood and DS Lite. You need at least one legal copy of BW or BW2 to transfer them legally to Gen VI games, too.
If I had to estimate costs, it would be $50 (for a refurbished Gamestop DS Lite, or Craigslist-purchased), $30 for an R4 for DS Lite, and $30-40 for a copy of BW2.
Yeah, I think you're just better off getting ORAS for those Legendaries, mang, or getting a legal copy of the earlier games if you're lucky enough.

ORAS Archie looks way better than RSE Archie though. The original design was bland as fuck and not particularly attractive desu. Besides, he was never white in the first place.
I'll give you Maxie though, RSE Maxie is better. The glasses aren't really the problem, it's the shorts and stupid tights. If he had kept the black slacks he would look fine.

They had absolutely no characterization and barely any development in RSE. Just because they're not the same characters you grew up with isn't bad. They have actual personality in ORAS and more interesting designs. Them being different is a good thing, at least GF put some effort into the characters in ORAS.
