Because /vp/ can't fucking take any piece of news without having some negative knee jerk reaction. They see an old pokemon, and assume that it automatically means that we're only getting 70 or so new pokemon, ONLY because of XY, despite the fact that literally every other game has had old pokemon accessible early with the one exception being Black and White.
Basically, everyone's too stupid to think ahead.
