150 is a little higher than average for even a fully evolved 2 stage pokemon now (just a little though) but yeah it's still pretty different from 100 HP Blastoise.

Eh, Emboar is more like a fucked up Blaziken stat distribution wise, shaving a points from other stats for more HP because it's a pig I guess and they wanted the recoil move gimmick but couldn't be assed to give him Hi Jump Kick even if it doesn't make sense or even Submission. They also both play primarily physical games despite the ability to be mixed. Their hidden abilities differentiate them though to be fair. People seem to have this image of Blaziken being fast but it actually isn't inherently. Infernape is the only one that's different and even then it's mostly because he is inherently fast and I think he's played mixed more commonly.

I agree. Blaziken mechanically had to be mixed because of type rules in RSE, and I guess Infernape showed off the split well, but there was not really any reason Emboar also had to have mixed leaning stats anymore after two previous ones.

He will still be, only physical where he shines best. In this day and age, trying to do too much doesn't cut it. Specialize, min max, focus on one thing, find a niche and do it effectively. The only way you could go mixed is if you are also fast.
Emboar was meant to be slow bulky. He has good coverage with physical moves but they are recoil moves. If you take too much damage on top of recoil, you die quickly. So he should have had better defenses to save your HP.
