The names are also nice and simple from a naming perspective though. They form half of a rainbow by themselves, and all except Green are primary colors. Having shit like Crystal Island and Gold Island wouldn't sound as nice.

So? Oahu's official color is yellow, which is melemele in Hawaiian. The island based on Oahu in the game is called Melemele, so we can almost safely assure that the other islands will be Poni, Akala and Ulaula, since they are based on Kauai, Maui and Hawaii respectively.
