Dude. The fact of the matter is the first generation of pokemon were designed-no the ENTIRE beginning of Pokemon had them be more like monsters. Poxket monsters. So, they designed them to look a bit grounded in reality. Then Pokemania from fucking happened and statting with Gen 2 they slowly made the Pokemon be more child friendly. Less monster looking.
Seriously, Lapras had fucking sharp teeth at first.
