The starter line up looks so upleasant compared to past generations and it isnt due to their coloring as much as its due to rowlet needing to be placed in the middle. I know that's not tradition but rowlet is much more of a perfect circle and also considerably smaller compared to litten & popplio's bigger and rather unorthodox shape which makes it look out of place on the left (or right). I know its not that big of a deal and this post is rather autistic but I cant stand seeing these fuckers stand in that order. Venting was necessary at some point.

I agree. I don't think it's autistic, it's more of a logical design sensibility that GF ignored because muh patterns.
Putting Rowlet in the center would make it stand up more (it naturally blends into the brown and green background), would bring the focus of the shot dead-center while the other two elements catch your eye individually and make a bit more sense gameplay-wise (Litten -> Rowlet -> Popplio, Fire -> Grass -> Water)
