does pokemon still have the same stupid censorship that it had back in the day?
>>
It was really quite minor, all things considered.
>>
Not really. Besides, 4kids toned down on the censoring after a bit while they were still dubbing.
The only real issue I have is the fucking replacement music in the new dub. Shit sounds straight from Tom and Jerry.

That's a neat edit, they're finally editing the show by removing digital layers, instead of applying paint.

Speaking of edits, does anyone know why the fuck they went back to dimming bright scenes like pc related? This shit is intentionally made dim in Japan, this is totally unnecessary now. It's like somebody read an old note from 1998 and started editing everything like the first season.

>>
>>26764691
>he's a censorshit apologist cuck
>>
>>26764705
And they didn't feature that shit, because Japan stopped including flashing and bright scenes. Ever since the switch to digital animation, it's been a non-issue, because the digital files are checked to ensure frame variability is within an acceptable range.

It's utterly baffling to see that in the XY series. Literally every Japanese TV show has held to the same standards since Porygon.
>>
>>26764533
>ching chong symbol the kids watching pokemon wouldn't know I don't know either

this is actually localization, they changed something that has no impact for average western audiences into an equivalent without removing anything

This new wave of anti-localization comes only from waifufags. It's a non-issue that people only care about because it helps to get their rocks off.
>>
>>26776237
>I don't know why people are arguing about the dub/sub.

You are astoundingly stupid.

If you admit something isn't good, why would you actively make it worse? The music if fucking dec in Japan. The acting, especially of Rica Matsumoto, is on point in Japan.
>>
>>26776237
>The show won't be made good by what language you watch it in.
Dubs as a whole remove context and various other things that the original had.
>>

Might as well say you can't translate books or any kind of text then, either learn the language it is written in or drop it.

No, no it has not. The most recent episode in Japan was 927, the dub is only up to 913. This gap used to be wider.

>This isn't some disease-riddled food, you aren't forgone. The only thing preventing you from watching it is your silly resistance to it.
This is probably true. Their is nothing stopping me from watching it save for the fact. That I still find it kinda terrible.

This doesn't matter to someone who isn't caught up on the latest episode.

>>
>>26776633

I love FE and I don't see why anyone other than a waifufag inbreed would even care. It was just another example of the anime/gaming industry being at the mercy of basementdwellers who just want more and more things they can imagine fucking. They got rid of a feature no one would even like, and, surprise, everyone who is at least moderately socially adjusted didn't care, and was glad. Part of what people DO when they're trying to sell a product is make it more palatable for a wide range of audiences. They don't give two shits about the "artist's vision".
>>
>>26776633
The problem is the artist doesn't care about it which is why they go more often than not.
Also Fans > Artist.
The artist doesn't have anything without the fans and if the fans say it's ruining the game then it shouldn't be there because they won't buy it.

>Only weebs give a damn

Nah, that's just your silly projection, because your worldview is terribly limited.

It's not "the sub" - it's the unedited work. It's the show as it's intended to be viewed.

The scenes are animated around music, and all of the actors preform, in sequence, in a singular room. It's not regimented, booth recorded ADR. This shines through in the final product, because the actors aren't just reading, they're looking at other actors and responding to the scenarios.

>That aren't on kissanime.

>>
>>26777983
To add to this point, see pic related.

Mastermind was animated for international audiences. The lip flaps match English phonics. The theme song is retained for all releases.
