Thanks to E3 we now know that we start our adventure on the island known as Melemele. The official color of the island of Oahu is yellow, which happens to be melemele in Hawaiian. The other islands that the Alola region is based off of are Kauai, Maui, and Hawaii (or the Big Island). Their official colors, in order, are purple, pink, and red. I think that based on Melemele’s connection to Oahu, the other islands will be called Poni, Akala, and Ula Ula.

Not a bad theory, but I could see the islands being named after Red, Yellow, Green & Blue, for a Rainbow effect. Also just now noticed those are the four colors on Kukui's hat

It pissed me off. In earlier Pokemon games, I had seen most of the regional Dex by the end of the game, with only a couple missing that I would find later
In X by the end of it I had seen less than half the regional Dex. Even now I till have no idea what's found in kalos and what isn't because the Dex was so fucking huge
