>EXP scaling is back hinting they might actually care about the level curve in this game

Source, please
They did in XY too, they just handled it really badly
this is definitely the best way to keep Pokémon from overleveling if they're keeping the EXP All though

Holy shit, I actually didn't notice this

>They did in XY too
I doubt it. There was too many variables in trying to predict where the level was at.
Will the player go on a catching spree or not (yielding more exp)?
Will they use pokemon amie or not(1.2x EXP)?
Will they use EXP share or not (giving a total of 350% of EXP)?
Will they switch around pokemon frequently or not (giving 100% of exp to the pokemon that switched in instead of splitting it)?
Will they do any of the above in conjunction with each other or not?
EXP scaling would help (not fix) most of these issues.

They tried a little bit with trainers jumping a lot in levels between areas - there's like a 10-level difference in levels between the 8th gym and Victory Road IIRC.
When you catch a pokemon in SM your pokemon still gains XP. Has that been the case in recent games? Haven't played any recent ones.

Since Gen VI.
>>26754304
It's been like that since Gen VI but I wish they would take it out, it just makes it a headache when you're EV training
>>26754337
Then don't catch pokemon if your EV training.
>>26754460
>see shiny
>don't catch it because EV training
Epin
>>26754337
A single berry and everything is fixed.
>>26754472
Then use EV reducing berries you mong.
Literally get good.
>>26754472
Two EV points are not used at level 100 so you should still be fine.
>>26754472
Happens rarely, rare enough that it isn't really a hassle to have a single EV berry on hand. Most of the time you'd be catching a shiny that gives the ev you want anyway, unless you're ev training in an area where the Pokemon you're training against isn't the most common one but then you're retarded.

>>26754034
Forgive my ignorance but what's EXP scaling?
>>26754626
exp a mon gets depends on its level and the level of the opponent mon
>>26754528
if you legitimately ev traint hen you always have the berries on hand incase of a fuck up. if you dont legitimately ev traint hen fuck off your post is immediately irrelevant in this situation.
>>26754780
How the fuck can you mess up EV training in Gen VI
>>26754545
>has no argument
