How does this change the meta?
>>26744528
It doesn't
hardcore players just had a piece of paper to note that stuff down before
>>26744528
Shorter battles, I guess.
>>26744528
It doesn't. Showdown already has this, and they already have the type effectiveness notes too. All it does is make playing on cart easier.
>>26744528
This is probably the best convenience change Pokemon has had in a while desu
Showdown already has it so it doesn't.
If anything this is something they should have done a while ago.
>>26744541
Crumple up that shit, the Oddish are coming.
It doesn't.
It does mean that less paper is wasted at VGC events though.
>>26744528
>not having a good memory of what stat boosts/drops happened to which Pokemon and when
Unless they have Moody it's not complicated.
>>26744528
...wait is that what I think it is??? THEY ACTUALLY ADDED A BATTLE STATS CHECKER?!
>>26744932
Yep.
https://youtu.be/-W2quT9stUM
Give it a couple seconds; they show it off at around here.
>>26744932
yes, both pokemon on the field have sprites on the bottom screen (within the regular battle menu) and if you click on them it brings up all stat changes that have occurred so far
>>26744528
Where is this picture from, i dont remember yungoos being in battle and his stat reductions being shown? Please help /vp when did this pic happen
Just wanted to reiterate what was mentioned during the stream in regards to move effectiveness being displayed during battle. That information is only available if you've battled that Pokemon before, which makes sense since if you've battled that Pokemon before, you'd had to have time to figure out what works and what doesn't work against it. So new players won't have that information right off the bat, only after a second encounter with the same kind of Pokemon.

It was literally when he first appeared in the tall grass.
>>26744528
It doesn't.
>>26744528
I count 6 dots... shouldn't they be 8 being the max x4?
>>26745609
No. The maximum number that stats can be decreased/increased is 6. The way the multiplier works is 1.5x, 2x, 2.5x, 3x, 3.5x and 4x, hence 6 dots. Hope that makes sense.
>>26745609
No. It goes 1.5x->2x->2.5x->3x-3.5x-4x.
>>26745609
The multiplier works by a max of x4 or a minimum of x0.25, but to get there, a stat needs to be raised or lowered six times.
It doesn't. At all.
Showdown has this and more and you competitivefags never complained.
