Colosseum felt like its entire purpose was to allow you to capture some Johto Pokemon and transfer them back to RSE. XD felt like it had more content as a game of its own, to be honest.

That, Sevii and the Emerald Safari expansion were definitely just to make it easier to capture Johto mons. Honestly I wish they'd do that more now, rather than Kalos having 450 wild Pokemon, which is just ridiculous. Crossing my fingers for SuMo to do it right.

XD is your chance to experience a Pokemon game that has less battles, but longer battles, and less spelunking in long caves, but more enjoying of sweet towns. The shadow Pokemon mechanic is somewhat aggravating but it is a balanced and fun alternative to the sluggish tradition of battling tons of weak Pokemon and trainers just to level up. It really is a shame that there haven't been any Pokemon games that adopt the same style since then.

I think the GC games were a lot of fun and very worthwhile side games, I really wouldn't mind a sequel.
Also I think Orre was the first region that WASN'T based on Japan, since Orre is based in Arizona.
