Treehouse is on 4am my time, but I won't be able to watch it until that evening.
Do you think it's better to spoil myself on /vp/ throughout the day and ride the hype train with you, or should I just wait and be surprised by the stream?

Either way, his board will be flooded with shit posts like "Gen 7 ruined!" or just general hate bandwagon. Just watch it that evening and make it more enjoyable for yourself

You sound like you're in New Zealand or one of the countries that also occupy its time zone. It sounds a bit later than what Ausfags and therefore Japfags are going to have to put up with.
Anyway, maybe you could try catch some sleep before it comes on and set an alarm for it, or wake up in the morning and either read what went down or watch a recording if the stream isn't rewatchable.

Yep I'm in NZ, but I only have mobile data until I get home tomorrow. I'm thinking I will watch it tomorrow night then look through the archived threads.

I've had this problem in the past. I try to watch the new videos before coming to /vp/, but googling the video just loads up a bunch of news articles with titles that spoil everything anyway.
