If it's in the games I doubt it will be much more than an aesthetic thing. The changes are extremely insignificant compared to a full fledged mega.

Still has a different shape even if you remove the spikes. If they put Ash-Greninja in game, all they would have to do is add a couple polys for the whiskers, render the shuriken and do some texturing.
