Is waifu pandering the only rationalization for M-Gardevoir's design idea?
Jeanne d'Arc

Ots more like you are nto protected by typical knight, but by max level female mage with noble title.

I think it might've been the fact Gallade stole a great deal of the knight aspect from gardevoir, leaving it as the femenine side. Maybe they didn't think it was going to be a bride but a princess, to go along the new fairy typing?
Brides are a female-offensive support class in a number of JRPGs.

gardevoir isn't a typical warrior knighr. Gardevoir will be more like female mage with noble title. Mages can protect people too because you dont want to feel wrath of powerful mage, even female.

>mage
>no stick on butt
>mage
>>26709021
and it's fucking retarded, like seriously what the fuck?
>>26709075
sure, although this >>26709021 sounds more likely, given both the design and movepool gardevoir has
>>26708983
Then why doesn't it get a giant banner flag and have the green bits turn black?
>>26709207
not all mages uses stick. For example, DnD mage doesent need any stick at all. And max lvl-ed DnD pwns entire army of orcs with only 1 spell

>guardian angel
>>26709005
>a princess
Same contradiction,
>from someone who protects to someone who needs to be protected
But I see the logic here.
Also, now that I think about it, little Japanese girls like their Gardevoir very feminine too, so it might be not waifu pandering alone.

More important question would be, why M-Gardevoir isn't psychic/fire or fairy/fire then?
