That, plus the increased linearity of the story, lack of personal choice, final boss just being a regular dragon with a little extra health, and the incredible lack of anything compared to its predecessors, just to name a few. Skyrim was okay, but it wasn't much of an Elder Scrolls game.

I never finished the story. Actually, I only got a couple of days into the game before I realized there was even a choice to join the rebellion at the beginning, where the plot branches from you choosing between two doors, while you are being urged to hurt because a dragon is coming to kill you, and you are not told that there *is* a second door until several seconds after the first NPC is completely finished with his monologue about his door.
