Here's one I made earlier today.
Adapting Feebas's colours to Sandile was tricky. I don't particularly like either of them.
I find these kinda fun to make.
It's pretty much as simple as color dropper > recolor tool in most cases.

I took some artistic liberties in this one,like I mentioned in the OP.
Magnezone's main body didn't have enough shades to translate to Probopass's. Nor did his Antenna to Probopass's nose/hat.
Likewise, Probopass's mustache didnt' have enough shades to translate to Magnezone's magnets/upper body.
But I think they came out alright.
Here's a very simple one.
Makes me wish they were the shiny schemes instead of that godawful purple/pink.

Pokemon like Volcarona are always a hassle in these. They're easy to translate from, but harder to translate too.
At first for Dusclops>Volcarona I was like "how the fuck am I gonna do this".
Then I just thought "you know what, I'll just leave some parts as they are", and it came out looking pretty nice!
Also the Shelmet>Volcarona is JUST tier.

I just sorta gave up when it came to Darkrai.
Because it's so dark naturally, the sprite uses the same colors for skin borders as it does for the outlines in some places.
Darkrai>Medicham came out looking pretty good though.

the sad thing is with some pokemon you have to fuck around with colours to make them look "good" so i think 1:1 colour translating perfectly is really rare
