The only bad parts about BW were the early shitmon designs (dog and bird look like cartoon animals, monkeys and cat look like neopets) and the wild and trainer battle music
And music was among the few good things about XY. Especially the trainer battle theme

The designs are pretty lame but that's because they chose Ohmura of all people to take over for Sugi instead of one of the many other artists who carry his style much better who already do art for Pokemon despite that Ohmura trained under Sugi for like ten years to be able to carry his style.

I personally love it's design. It's pretty drab and it could have been better but I think it's a nice mellow design. I like that it's holding the log/drum but I don't entirely get the concept just yet. I like the ears and the white fluff on its face. I can't wait to see its evolutions - I'm hoping for some musharna type of thing
