Welp VP, I think that's it for me with VGC. Charging $30-$60 USD for entry is completely outrageous. This is the final nail in the coffin, first it was this format (broken legends, weather wars, smeargle, xerneas) then it was paying $20 at regionals which took my by surprise (they were free before). But it just doesnt make sense to invest that much money to compete in an environment where RNG is so up in the air. I'd be really upset to lose after having paid that much.
Thid, VGC has been complete shit this year. Hopefully enough people complain/don't participate so that TPCi sees what they're doing wrong.

Britbong here, I'd heard a lot of people were complaining that you get huge prize support while we get literally nothing, didn't realise you had to pay for it in entry fees.
"Play! Pokémon" will never be profitable enough to give the prizes people want though
