Don't grind, no items in battle, battle style to set, exp share off. Avoid using overpowered TMs more than once.

I just try to use Pokémon that I've never used before.

That's about all I've done. I've done mono or dual type runs on a few games as well, but I've never tried for a real "hard mode" run.

You have to use 6 Pokemon for every gym battle and you have to store each team after each gym

Shitmons or less-used mons.

I remember my 2nd Emerald run - my E4 team was something like this:

I don't remember it 100% but I think that was it

I have never used repel ever. Not a rule I set for myself, just got used to being mobbed by geodudes and zubats... That helps a lot with the levelling up part so I barely have to grind at all

I'm Nuzlocking Volt White at the moment. Set obviously, no healing during battle. Not gonna lie, I've had some near heart attacks.

I play a Rom hack on set style without items. Nuzlockes are for casuals.
