No one really thought about this ( as far as I know ). What if it had an ability that boosted cutting/sharp sounding moves ? It would explain its moveset ( Cut, Aerial ace, Water shuriken )

Honestly that would probably suck in-game. I guess boosted Return would be stronger and more accurate than Hydro Pump, but it's not worth losing Protean over that.
