I've yet to fucking see a decent Mega Infernape, and there's ton of them around, but they're all overdesigned trash that looks the same.
How hard could it be to give him a golden hairband, a rod made of fire and make him ride a cloud? Maybe give him Levitation, too.

If they're going with a Water/Dark typing it could be a special Mega Launcher attacker with STAB Dark Pulse, plus it already gets Water Pulse or Scald if you prefer. That, plus the fact that it can stay in base form and hit incoming Keldeo or Grass/Poisons with STAB Air Slash (or Hurricane if they would give the move to it, would also make for a terrifying special Rain sweeper). It also gets Ice Beam, Gunk Shot (for Azumarill), Scald, Haze, Tailwind.
It could be semi viable in OU I guess. That design while awesome is pretty farfetched.
