Oh hey, I actually know that artist. He based the legendary after the myths of Sköll and Hati, the two wolves who chase after the sun and moon to cause eclipses in Norse mythology. He also made the logo and the background, basically everything that isn't stock 3DS imagery.
I highly doubt that there will be a third version, but I do hope the third legendary is as cool as some of the fanmade designs.
I hope a 3rd version does happen just to rub more salt in Kalos's wound
