Would Arceus be better or worse if his primary type was always normal and the plate added a secondary type?

You'd get to keep STAB extremespeed and gain another STAB of your choosing.

E-killer gets better since it can be built to handle anything (Ground E-Killer for STAB EQ, Fire e-Killer for burn immunity and better Overheat, etc)
Bulky/Support sets get worse since Normal does little favors to most defensively

Psychic/Normal would be immune to ghost and lose the fighting weakness. I think it would only be weak to Dark. Arceus-Ghost and Giratina would stop being able to put pressure on it.

It would only gain 1 weakness in fighting, but it gets to be immune to Ghost. I don't think that would hurt bulky sets much. Just watch out for Blazikens and Focus Blasts, I guess.
