Its obviously some sort of pocket revive. Pokémon is being further casualized by no longer making the player buy healing supplies

It's probably just going to be a powerup for every Pokémon, like that Pokkén one. (ex, red Machamp)
But the device will still be able to mega evolve Pokémon

One gem can revive the entire team, or another can mega evolve. Thats why the one on the male'a is yellow, and the diamond on the female'a bracelet is blue
