You'd need to pump all 100 points into it's SpAtk for it to be useable as an itemless Mega, and then it'd be another slow, frail mixed attacker that'd still suck dick.

Also thematically it makes little sense to make it a mixed attacker.

The reason they are upset with the changes you are making is becuase you are changing the HP. HP is the ONLY stat that CANNOT change when MegaEvolving. Since both forms use the same HP bar. That way if you take damage before MegaEvolving it doesn't mess up the game by suddenly adding more. Etc. Etc.

Basically. Don't touch HP when doing Megas.

It's too much of a glass canon to have a set up like Nasty Plot--as much as I like and want the idea.

Weavile has always worked better as a physical attacker. Why up the SpA?

A boost in attack and speed would make it even deadlier. Tough claws coupled with a moveset like Icicle Crash, Knock Off, Poison Jab, and Aerial Ace (for fighting pokemon) would be all it needs to be a fast, physical sweeper.

It has a good offensive move pool and an amazing defensive typing. Yeah, it loses its fighting, fairy and bug resist, but in return its only weakness is MB quake. +10 in speed to not minmax it too hard. Give it Slack-Off maybe, but I feel like that would make it broken.

By singles, run it with Agility and spam those recoiless Head Smash and Flare Blitz, in doubles it can easily run with the typical Tailwind or with some partner using Icy Wind and Rock Slide can soft some enemies before trying to ditch the killing blow.

I know that Fire / Rock is a very bad defensive typing but the raw power that put on the field is nothing to scoff at.

Regarding your suggested moveset, it would much rather run Low Kick than Aerial Ace. Poison Jab already given it neutral or SE coverage on common switchins (Azumarill, Keldeo), and it would have a hard time getting by Tyranitar and Bisharp without Low Kick.

Fair enough. Though since this is is called "Fix-a-mon", I'd argue that maybe switching the ATK and SPA's around would be more in line with that. It just seems wasteful to keep his attack higher.
