Ivysaur only got into Brawl to be part of PT's gimmick. It's an absolute nobody on its own. If we absolutely had to get a Grass rep in Smash, Sceptile would be far more deserving since it was the only Grass type to get into Pokken and has had a lot of screentime in the anime.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad Sceptile got into Pokken even if my bro Swampert didn'twhy the fuck didn't we get any Water starter at all though I would've even taken Narutoad just give me something that isn't fucking Suicunebut I don't at all see why we should have the same half a dozen Pokémon in every spinoff ever, that was what I hated about Pokkén's early roster the most, that it had Charizard, Lucario, Pikachu, Shadow Mewtwo. It got slightly better but there still isn't a single character I have any interest in playing besidesGarchomp. Why would I want to see this roster get ported to other spinoffs when we can have distinct rosters? Ivysaur and Squirtle were fun to use though I may have my memory colored a bit by Project M's god-tier Ivysaur revamp. I'd rather see them than see the same character in a game I could play if I wanted appear in another game.

I like and appreciate all 3 Gen 3 starter designs. They're all pretty equal surprisingly. Blaziken and Lucario are often looked at as synonymous but Lucario is on a completely higher level of bipedal furbait garbage than Blaziken will ever be. Also I think megas in general are just a stupid for pokemon however cool they are in the competitive scene.
