Furries always feel the need to justify themselves to everyone, which usually results in them making sure you know, and then getting upset when you don't accept them.
The few legitimate scalies I have met actually get that most people aren't into what they are. They are less likely to shove their phone full of weird porn in your face and demand that you accept them. They are more content to do their thing and not bother anyone.
It really isn't any of my business what people want to fug, so long as they don't make it my business. Scalies seem to get that. Furries seem not to. Maybe it is just that there are more furries, meaning the odds of running into the wizard is higher, but I have had a problem with a few furries. I have never had a problem with a scaly, and only ever found out by accident.

Aggron is a beast for playthroughs. One of the most easily splashed 'mons on a playthrough team. Each one of its evos put in work, and if absolutely needed, it can pick up HM's and help that way. In a Nuzlocke, Sturdy gives you one "get out of jail free" card that can ruin that gym leader's day and not cost your bro his life, and makes him great for potioning up others. Truly, the broest of bros.
Competitive, yeah, he kinda sucks. Head Smash Spam or some tricky T-Wave, Dragon Tail/Roar, Sneaky Pebbles, Iron Head Paraflinch asshole tends to be all he can do.
