Do you think Alola would still look as small if it was one big land mass?
>>
>>26617557
It doesn't even look fucking small, what are people on about?
>>
>>26617557
It looks like a bit of a clusterfuck in that pic.
>>
>>26617571
It's just a leftover maymay from when Alola wasn't confirmed to have more than 1 island.
>>
People on this board are some of the most autistic fucks I've ever seen. Literally every other region only looks "bigger" because the playable areas are connected by unplayable, inaccessible ones. If they had even a quarter of a fucking brain they'd shut their cunt mouths and realize just how fucking wrong they are.

It still looks pretty small. Then again Unova looked pretty small from the map but in-game its more than enough.
>>
>>26617557
The main reason it looks small is because all the routes and towns are cramped together. if you took something like Kanto and took out all the negetive space, I guarantee it would be the same size.

Except that's not comparable
Until ORAS, stylized maps were very simplified, while the Alola one is an exact depiction of how it'll be in game

You just have to compare the screenshots we've got to the map

Hoenn is pretty small too if you remove all the areas that you can't go to.
Hopefully the smaller map will mean that Alola is much more open world.
>>
>>26617603
Yeah but look how spread out hoenn's map is compare to Alola's if you take into account you probably can explore most of Alola's map.
>>
>>26617768
Those buildings aren't even the same size. Look how small the player's house is in Alola compared to in Hoenn. If you upscaled it to that, I guarantee it'd be about half the size of Hoenn.
>>
>>26617603
>people are still posting this image

Reminder that it made a 1 story building the same height as a multi-storey office building to prove a point. Look at >>26617676, the buildings on the bottom right are shown to have 5 storeys to them.
>>
>>26617676
You can still roughly see what you're getting with Unova.
>>
>>26617627
this, just count the pokemon centers in alola. you need 15 seconds max to go from one to another. and i hope there won't be loading screens...
>>
>>26617557
>using the fish-eye lens map that's used to show off landmarks
>>
It doesn't even matter, it's not like you are getting ripped off with less than 8 gyms, and etc. What every single game has had before.

People should worry more about the quality of the content and not about how big the map is, having some packed areas is better than having tons of barren maps and so far this map looks to have a lot of fun places and environments to see.
>>
>>26617676
look how small that first island is oh dear

An easy to way understand Alola is smaller in general is to just look at the cities. They're all pretty much one or two streets with a line of buildings on the side. Rustboro, Slateport, and Lilycove ALL outclass Alola's #1 city.

>>26617603
alola map is distorted
>>
>>26617557
I just dislike the fact that the first island looks to only have two towns/cities compared to the other islands.
>>
the biggest problem with this maps is that alola islands are actually curvy, making you cirlce around the island and not just straight lines like the hoenn compatarion
>>
>>26618003
Smaller cities doesn't mean the entire region is smaller. How does that make any sense?
>>
I watched he Japanese trailers and it's not small. It's not big either just average
>>
>>26618506
The routes look tiny as well though
>>
>>26617557
Not even half as big as Hoenn

Jesus it really does look small without all that water bloating the space
