What is your ignored type, /vp/?
Honestly i never used a grass type in my playthrough before BW2. I don't dislike them and Lilligant was pretty fun to use, but i'm never attracted to use more of them. I tend to gravitate more to Fire and Psychic types.
Also Electric. I usually tend to ignore them.

Grass types.
Bulbasaur was my first ever starter and was great through Fire Red until the battle with your rival before victory road. Could not beat him. Started over with Squirtle, whooped his ass when the time came.
Probably fire and fighting.
Discounting a porygon z I made for competitive, normal types. I've never used one to the end of a game.
Not a type in particular but 'pure' types.
I don't see the point in pokemon with only one typing, so I rarely ever use them and never use them on playthroughs.
I've never used poison.
Bug types. Didnt use any outside of dex conpletion since Gen 2, I believe.

There's not any one typing I've completely ignored. I used to use electric more, now I don't. I used to use Ice types more and now I don't as much.
Probably the most ignored type for me has always been Fighting. Usually they just don't interest me. The biggest exception being Heracross, who is in my top 5. But only because of the coverage you can get with it. And lately it's useless since flying types are getting priority.
Usually avoid Fire types, only exceptions being Braixen in Y and an Arcanine in White 2.
I don't think I outright ignore any types, but I guess I'd have to say a type I never really plan on having on my team is Fighting. Though I really did like having Hawlucha, though my initial reason for using him was for Fly, not because I wanted a Fighting type.
And I think Rock, Ground and Steel can be lumped together in a "I usually have them if they're dual typed with a type I like more"
It's hard to say what types I don't like, I just tend to make teams out of my favourites. Though I did just do a team of Grass types and a team of Ghosts before it. Next I think I might do either a team of Bugs or Ice. Hardly ever use Ice types.
Primary/pure fighting and normal; the ones you meet in game tend to be boring and mediocre.
Poison because it was useless before fairies
Normal because no type advantage
Dragon because rarely available in early game
Ghost because same reason as dragon
