Just finished platinum and about to play white 2 for the first time. I hear a lot of good about the game but I wanna know what am I in for bros? Any suggestions for what should be on my team? Any tips?

I always recommend using Pokemon that you don't like/haven't used before.
My W2 run was 4/6 never used Pokemon.

It's hard because BW2 has a LOT of good pokemon to choose from, Obviously getting Lucario early is great, Scolipede is good, Darmanitan early-mid is a treat, Whimsicot and Liligant are both good in their own ways, and you can get an Evee pretty early is great too, and opens up a lot of options. Honestly just look up the list for White 2 and pick and choose what looks cool to you, it's my fav gen mostly because of how many good, useable pokemon are in it.
Get ready to be stopped in your tracks for dialogue at least two times in every area.

black 1? then play black 2 for some consistency in the storyor N will show up in reshiram in W2 when you are the one that captured him in black, to give you an example
also choose a different starter and use different mons from your b1 run, that helps
