You could do what I do, and base the starter you pick off the last number of your trainer ID. 1-3 is grass, 4-6 is fire, 7-9 is water, and 0 is your pick.

I would recommend you to play it normal without exp share, if this is really your first time.Nuzzlock will just fuck you really hard.
