You'll probably need a specific move in your moveset like Mega Ray did to activate the synchro evolution
In the anime Greninja had to learn the "Giant Water Shuriken" before he mastered synchro

I'd like more Combo moves, honestly. I thought Grass/Fire/Water Pledge were super interesting but not really distributed widely enough to see them.
Anyway, I think 5 moves would be pretty silly, and would create a "Rich Get Richer" situation in competitive Pokemon- the Pokemon that are OU are generally Pokemon that have many viable move options, which gives them unpredictability and resources and lets them fit on many types of teams. Letting them have an extra move just makes them even more overpowered. Less than OU Pokemon typically have less move variety, and wouldn't be able to take advantage of five moves in a substantial way.
"Four Moveslot Syndrome" is a thing that prevents SOME Pokemon from being good, but I'd say five moves would hurt more than it would help.

Unless that fifth moveslot were an HM only slot, the best pokemon only widen the gap between them and the ones who can only shore up 3 usable moves after tutoring and breeding.
Plus, just imagine the broken-ass shit Smeargle alone could do with that moveslot.
