So it'd pick up a Psychic immunity and a resistance to Dark and Ghost, in exchange for gaining a weakness to Bug, Fairy, and Fighting. Doesn't really seem worth it.

It'd make it better, but there is no reason whatsoever for Luxray to be dark type. It doesn't fit its name nor its flavor. It's not inherently evil or mischievous, its english name is "lightlight" and it's all about X-ray vision, not fucking biting.

That was worded poorly, but what I meant at the beginning was that Strong Jaw would make Dark Luxray better, not that Dark type would make Luxray better. brb committing sudoku

Crunch, Bite, Thief and Snarl. And Fake Tears via breeding. That's not very many. And again, dark types are usually inherently evil/bad, even just mischievous. Luxray is none of that, bar maybe hunting for prey, but it's a fucking lion/lynx hybrid, of course it hunts. It has nothing for it that says "Dark type" besides learning Crunch and being black.
