Imagine for a moment Game Freak decided to do away with base stats, and instead came up with a system that let you determine the focus of your pokemons' stat growths, thus putting all fully evolved pokemon, barring special cases like legendaries, on equal footing stat-wise before IVs and EVs.
How would you feel?
That's retarded and you're retarded for taking the time to type this shit.

>yeah, let's just use the same stale mons in stale tiers forever :^)
nah it isn't you retard, this is a great idea
not even OP
>>26579768
Then how would you make it so half the roster of pokemon are completely outclassed and nearly unusable?
>>26579768
>le epic "lol first ur dum OP BTFO" response
Kill yourself.
>>26579835
*aren't, rather. Typing is hard apparently.

Honestly? Yes. Yes please. I want it to be more like the Anime where base stats don't matter for shit, training any fully evolved Pokemon properly will make them a match for another Pokemon similarly trained, and it would put more focus on type advantages and strategy rather than every single person in a tournament setting using the EXACT SAME TEAM as everyone else. It's fucking boring.

I mean that sounds cool, but it would be impossible to balance and wouldn't always make sense. Gen 1 move sets would be broken
The idea of a magikarp or ledian being on equal footing to a legendary is pretty dumb though anon
>>26579994
That's vgc anon, not Smogon (lower tiers at least)

How would gen 1 move sets be broken?
