I don't like any of the human Gen 7 characters at all. They're all bland and meh, or straight-up ugly. I seriously think hype is just blinding you people.
Hopefully Alola's Gym Leaders will be more interesting.

Last gen we only got Serena and a few generics, I like Lilleie for the most part though, doubt she will any form of personality though. Things have been going down hill for a while.

Lillie seems very bland, and her droopy uncertain eyes are stupidly unappealing.
Gen 6 at least had a cute and customizable Protagonist, Valerie, Korrina, even Shauna, ect
Gen 5 was a pretty much perfect harem of unique and appealing designs.
Gen 4 and 2 had some great designs too.
1 and 3 not so much, but I think you could probably pick out at least one from those games that you like.
So far all of the Gen 7 girls are bland or lame. And all the guys are too. Hau, and the professor? Just straight up ugly. Hau looks like he is going to be a lame tag-along friend like Tierno and Trevor, too. They don't even call him a rival.
I can only hope they have a lot more characters to show off. An actual rival, the Gym Leaders, the evil team, ect. But so far, literally every human character shown for Gen 7 sucks, and I am not seeing why people like them at all.
