What would happen if a sun made of ice would collide with a normal, lava-made sun? Both suns would be the same size and ice-made sun's temperature would be -1000 degrees of celsius and normal sun's temperature +1000 degrees of celsius.

Would their combined effects cancel each other out so that instead there would be only empty space or one 0-degree sun?
>>
>>26573405
It's not even the Sun itself. It's more akin to a shuttle or astronaut

...yes.
>>

What type would you suggest then? Nuclear fusion is closer to fire typing than anything else.

Plasma is extremely hot.

You're telling me it makes sense that the god of the sun is weak against heat?
>>
>>26573422
i know this is bait but

stars are made of gas and plasma
-1000 C cannot exist

regardless if you're asking if the collision of two equally massive objects of different temperatures would result in the total mass reaching the midpoint temperature, the answer is no.

their collision also turns their kinetic energy (both objects' net movement towards their collision point) into thermal energy, heating up the resultant mass.

the final result is always going to be hotter than the midpoint temperature of the original objects, how much hotter depends upon how forceful the collision was.

for a light collision, it would be cooler than the temperature at which the "hot sun" started, if it was a very forceful collision, it would be hotter.

It is physically impossible for something to be -1000 degrees C.
>>

It's literally the SunNE Pokemon and it's signature move has it turn into a sun. Why would a space shuttle/astronaut be a representation of the fucking sun when the other available option is the moon.

Not sure if this is bait, but you can't go less than -273°C. -273°C is 0 Kelvins, absolute zero, the point at which every single particle has no movement whatsoever.

I know it's bait but there's no large scale "negative" version of a temperature
and lava+ice would just produce a lot of vapor and rock so fire+ice=rock+water, can someone check the typings for me? :^)
>>
>>26573422
I'm bad at physics, but I thought that there must be Thermonuclear fusion in the core.So if the sun made out of ice has a temperature -1000(which is not possible I think),no hydrogen fusion will be possible, right?

As I said,I'm bad at physics.
>>
>>26573698
And you're telling me that superhot Hydrogen and Helium is plasma state should not fall under Fire? Sure seems a lot more like Fire than Steel at least.
Also it's not condensed, that means the elements are liquid, which they are not.
>>
>>26573868
>The elements can't be liquids

Are you dense?
>>
>>26573868
>>26573894
No wait, nevermind, I read that wrong.

Fuck me I'm tired.
>>
>>26573894
They can be, but the Hydrogen and Helium within the sun is not in that state, so saying it is condensed makes little sense.
>>
>>26573918
Iron is at the sun' score though, so that makes more sense than fire.

Also the fact that Solgaleo is based off of an Alchemy symbol helps solidify the theory.
>>
>>26573918
Bad choice of words but I meant that is "squeezed very tightly"
>>
>>26573969
Only for a "short" time when a star is dying.
Like our Sun has a Iron mass of 0.14%. That's nothing.

The Alchemy thing is cool though.

That's a horrible analogy. Might as well say that a cat pokémon should be Water because it's body consists of more water than a droplet.

If you think about it, steel is a perfect analog for something that devours the Sun.
Iron is considered to be the killer of stars.
When a star undergoes stellar nucleosynthesis, it produces tremendous amounts of energy through fusion of elements.
Hydrogen fuses to create helium, helium into nitrogen, nitrogen into carbon with neon, and the bigger a star is... the further its fusion can go.
Iron is considered the fatal weakness of a star because it cannot undergo nuclear fusion, which is the only source of energy.
>>
>>26574502
>No one recognized it as pasta
Just because you didn't doesn't mean nobody else did. I have seen it posted on /vp/ multiple times before.
>No apparent humor
If you can't see how laughable dumb the question is then you're probably retarded.

But yes, cling to your reddit boogeyman, that way you will sure fit in.

>Iron is considered the fatal weakness of a star because it cannot undergo nuclear fusion
It can, but that's the turning point where fusion consumes energy instead of releasing energy. So yeah, at that point you're fucked.
