My theory is that when you synch with your pokemon you get a boost in stats even stronger than megaevos, but, if the Pokémon you synch with faint you lose the battle even if there are still healthy Pokémon in your party, because you faint too

Would it be randomly selected final evolutions like Megas? Would a Pokemon with a Mega Evolution also be able to do this? Would EVERY Pokemon be able to do it? But that'd mean little to no impact on designs. Would they stop making Megas now that this is a thing?
It's the kind of idea that would be better off a couple generations from now, we just had one of the most game-changing mechanics in years in Gen 6, a new gimmick every generation would get old fast.

There are good and bad ways to do it. Take Mawile for example, they didn't give it a normal evolution. They gave it a mega with broken ability so it can catch up to the current power creep. That shit needs to stop.
I said this when poken was released and I figure I'll repeat it now.
Synchro is going to be a mega form for all pokemon, but without the design. We will just get a stat boost, maybe a colour aura who knows. You will probably have to have your pokemon hold a badge or something to use it, one a match, probably share limits with mega pokemon, so you are not forced to have one on your team.
The stat boost will be something like raising all the stats to reach a stat total of some of the high tier pokemon.
Obviously some acceptions come to mind. For example, it would have less effect on a psudo legendary than a early game junkmon.
This is actually a fantastic thing. Because it gives old pokemon new life. Remember your totally useless bro? Not anymore he's now psudo stats.

I like the idea of Synchro Evos, if it works like the anime. You would make your pokemon more powerful but you would blackout if the pokemon you synced with fainted. It's a nice sort of risk vs. reward.

Something to consider: We now know that Professor Kukui's area of research is Pokemon moves. If synchro evolution was a thing in SM, his area would probably relate to that. Like, it would be "the connections between Pokemon and humans" or something, similar to how Professor Sycamore's research areas related to Mega Evolution. Of course this doesn't prove anything, but I think that odds are they would have had the professor have some involvement with synchro evolution if it was actually happening.
