Not synchro, but Synergy Burst. It works similarly (down to showing trainer and Pokémon doing the same moves in the intro) and adds some features to the Pokémon using it without changing its shape like mega evolution does.

Syncro may not even be a trainer visual thing. In the anime there was a Greninja in the past that did the same thing that Ash and his Greninja are doing now and it had the exact same appearance. Unless Ash is a time traveler it's just coincidence that syncro'd Greninja looks similar to Ash.
