These feels are hitting me like a fucking train I just want some non autistic looking friends who are also into pokemon
Maybe see if your city/state has a Pokemon group. I didn't think mine had one until I really searched for it. Now I have several friends that are all really into Pokemon. I'll always have my casual friends, and that's great, but there's nothing like being able to geek out with someone and be on the same page.
My hubby and I play Pokemon together. Dreams become reality sometimes.

I had a friend group like Calem ad; then two of them started to ignore me. I had a love interest who was into Pokémon, but her two best friends were those who left me behind, so in my autistic splurge I decided the best thing to do was actively friend-zone her ("we'd obviously never date lol") and, I guess just autism all over.
But I'm more mad about being left in the cold over nothing. The first one, my second best friend at the time, said "if you don't know what's wrong, I'm not telling you." If that doesn't scream "I have no reason other than I don't like you anymore," then I don't know what does.

I've posted this before in a comfy thread, pardon the wording.
Pokemon has a lot of nostalgia for me, but it also makes me think of my childhood, for better and worse. My friend and I eventually moved away from one another to other states, and we haven't kept in touch. I hope he's alright. I do miss having someone local to be a stupid pokemon nerd with, but I haven't had local friends of any kind in a long time, so I'm accustomed to it by now. I live in a backwater shithole, so it is what it is.
If nothing else, even when this series has its missteps, it's still an important part of my life that I'm invested in. I'm happy that I still find joy in something from my past. For all its stupidity /vp/ is nice during leak season. It's nice to partake of the hype for a change and have other people to share it with.
Thanks for being here, /vp/, even if things change, I still at least have these and other memories to look back on. I doubt anyone will read this textwall (and I can't blame you,) but it was nice to feel either way.
I hope we get something good in a few hours.
