Ive been playing since red and I love sinnoh. The mountain that looms over you for your adventure until you have to climb it to save the universe. The way the gods are hinted at in art and statues from town to town. The old chateau. The various legendaries hidden in various locals. It's a solid region and I can't wait until we get remakes.

i played it on an emu and it was the fuckin best. probably best pokemon game todate. oras could have been better but they fucked it all up. but its fucking great i recommened you get SS as soon as possible.
None of the other "ghost" parts of Pokemon ever scared me, but holy fuck that path to Giratina in the original Diamond/Pear unnerved the absolute fuck out of me. At the time I had absolutely no idea Giratinia existed so I had no idea what sort of hell I was descending into.
Me and my friend made a meme the other day. We were moving books while doing community service, and my friend was struggling a bit. I tried to say "looks like your eyes were too big for your stomach" but it came out as "looks like that was too big for your mouth". We both laughed and continued saying it for the rest of the day.

ie: don't put any of Pt's features in, stripping down all events to Pokémon center gifts rather than unlockable areas with backstory, crowbarring in excessive retarded plotpoints and dumbing down all challenge so the hyper-ADHD iPhone guzzling 5 year olds won't get distraught from 5 nanoseconds of misfortune in their life.
Which were my main gripes with ORAS.

I'm replaying Platinum for the first time in like 5 years. I forgot how they really don't give you any fucking pokemon to choose from until you get past the 2nd gym.

But they give you a pseudo just after the 2nd gym, though. Gible can be caught literally 5 minutes after you beat Gardenia.
In Pt at least, you need like 6 badges in DP.
