Is it possible that popplio's evolutions will save him, or is he doomed to be bullied forever?
If we end up getting Ballio or a similar design, maybe. If Litten's evolutions end up being stupid, I can see Popplio getting a bit of a popularity boost.

Popplio was honestly the only starter that jumped out at me at this gen. The others felt too plain.
Normies will end up loving the popplio line, but /vp/ will hate it because the final evolution isn't Ballio.

I don't know; I like all the gen 7 starters equally though I wasn't too big a fan of last gen's starters. Chesnaught grew to be my favorite, and so did Chespin by extension I guess. Greninja is butt ugly, though; the tongue scarf thing was an awful touch. The phoxes are mehworthy at best.

The fanbase is just full shit taste. Samurott is objectively one of the most badass starters in the franchise. Complaints about being primarily quadrupedal is the most RIDICULOUS excuse when:
1. Its a creature built for water combat
2. True otters(or majority of semi-aquatic mammals) are primarily quadrupeds
But I guess pokemon fans are to retarded to understand that Dewott's evolutionary change is a step-up for it's main environment.
