Not going to lie, that was probably my favorite part of ORAS. I would seriously buy another pokemon game on the sole premise of "Hey, here's more Zinnia. She's part of the actual story now."
For me personally, it was that they went way overboard with her slack-armed, dangling, rocking, I'm-a-crazy-bitch pre-battle pose. It was so jarring; she'd been presented as sort of a wildcard, but not in a "belongs in an institution" sort of way. She went from dangerous to unstable. I stopped seeing her as a threat because of her strength and started seeing her as someone who needed a fucking doctor.
And it was just one animation. Fuck.

Basically shes part of a clan called the draconids and she's next in line to be the lorekeeper.
Anyway her ancestors knew that a meteor would hit hoenn so they devised a plan to summon rayquaza to destroy it sh being the new lorekeeper, and somewhat brash, didn't really take in more than "gotta summon ray" and proceeded to tell the teams about Kyogre and Groudon in order to summon Ray that way.
After that Mossdeep scientists saw the meteor and tried to use infinity energy to send it through a wormhole, Zinnia opposed this because infinity energy is pokemon life force and they would have replicated the mass abuse and death that happened 3000 years ago with the weapon.
Second encounter at Mossdeep she destroyed the link cable so the pokemon wouldn't die on top of removing the possibility of hitting the other hoenn her clan has observed for generations, that hoenn being the RSE Hoenn.
Then she goes to Sky Pillar and awakens Ray who doesn't have the power to mega evolve until he eats the meteor the protag has. That's when you battle Zinnia and fly into space to shatter the meteor.
That's pretty much it.
