The game is over 7 years old. Most 3DS games go for about $40 brand new. $38 for Almia is way too much.

Since it's preowned, it's possible that whoever owned it before downloaded the Event Pokemon stages when the game came out (I believe there was a manaphy among them), but never bothered to beat the game.
All three are pretty good. This is probably the worst one, but it's an enjoyable game, with an amazing beginning.

Can't speak for the DS itself but I emulated this game and I liked it so much I 100%'d it, highly recommend it if it interests you at all. Much better and more user-friendly than the first

Guardian Signs is worth playing if you liked Shadows of Almia. I can't really say why, but I just think Almia is better.
