Without help from outside souces, people can get 22 out of 23 songs available because Lugia and Ho-Oh are version exclusive. I was able to select from all 23 songs (in one save file) because blah blah nobody cares.
Also, if you get more than 3 loses total in a day, just give up. I didn't, and I lost every match so far.
