i'll bite . There have been several new gens. Platinum , HGSS , B/W , B/W2 , X/Y , ORAS. And upcoming is pokemon sun and moon. There are now over 700 pokemon.Several spinoffs have also been made. Manga has gotten several volumes. Recommend Pokemon White and its sequel for beginners. Its has a great story and will be a new journey . For max fun don't use pokemon sources and play blind.
